Oblivion is a companion novel to the first books in the Lux series told from the point of view of the series’ renowned hero, Daemon Black.
Synopsis[]
I knew the moment Katy Swartz moved in next door, there was going to be trouble. Lots of it.
And trouble’s the last thing I need, since I'm not exactly from around here. My people arrived on Earth from Lux, a planet thirteen billion light years away. Plus, if there’s one thing I know, it's that humans can't be trusted. We scare them. We can do things they only dream about, and honestly, we make them look weak as hell. ‘Cuz they are.
But Kat is getting to me in ways no one else has, and I can't stop myself from wanting her—or wanting to use my powers to protect her. She makes me weak, and I'm the strongest of our kind, tasked with protecting us all. So this one simple girl... she can mean the end for us. Because the Luxen have an even bigger enemy—the Arum, and I need to stay on my game.
Falling for Katy—a human—won't just place her in danger. It could get us all killed, and that's one thing I'll never let happen...

Special content[]
- The digital edition of Oblivion (ebook or kindle) includes Obsidian, Onyx, and Opal in Daemon's POV. This edition was not published in paperback in English but can be found in paperback version in other languages, it was even published in 3 separate books in some cases.
- The digital edition of Oblivion also contains a bonus chapter from Paris' point of view.
Trivia[]
- This project was called Ovaltine by the author.[1]
- The digital edition of Oblivion is over 1000 pages long.
- An audiobook of the digital edition of Oblivion was never released. However, there is an audiobook for the paperback edition (Obsidian in Daemon's POV).
- There is a continuity error. In Obsidian after Kat was attacked at the library, there was another girl attacked, Sarah. We are told that the same Arum killed her after he attacked Katy. But in Oblivion, we see Daemon kill the Arum the moment he was attacking Katy, so the Arum was dead and couldn't wander off killing innocent humans. In Oblivion, Sarah was not mentioned, so either she didn't exist or if she existed, she wasn't killed.
